The beach resort of L’Ayguade lies on the edge of Hyères, 4 kilometers inland . It has all main shopping facilities : a Spar shop for groceries, a very good bakery, newsagent and an excellent greengrocer. There is also beachware and cycle-hire shop.The weekly market is on Wednesdays. It has has several friendly restaurants cafés and take-aways surrounding the pétanque pitch.
One of its the main attraction is its large beach, of slightly pebbly sand. 
   

From there you can walk or cycle to Hyéres (4km) with its historic medieval center, or to Hyères Yacht harbour alive with shops, restaurants and cafés. The Gites lye on the edge of the Toulon to St Tropez cycle track (50km in all) which follows the tracks of the old coastal railway.
From Hyères harbour boats leave for the Island of Port-Cros National Park.
